the other night i was driving home from work and turned off the radio, the cell phone and just prayed about the VBAC and for guidance in what we should do. and i really felt that i needed to ask the doula we were going to choose if she was christian...but it's kind of a weird question to just come right out and ask someone. so i kinda avoided it for now. dh was like..um you have to ask her, if that's what you felt God was saying to do, then you need to do it.

so i called a friend form church who has done all natural births for her 4 children, and she kinda giggled and said it's hard to find doulas that are christian around here.

then today i did some online research and called a different doula than the one we have "chosen" and i asked her if she knew of any christian doulas in las vegas. the first 2 names she mentions are my doula and her assistant! im super excited and she said that the majority of doulas in las vegas ARE christian!

so im going to ask my doula herself next time i talk with her (i tried calling her this morning, but i think she may be at work, she works outside of the home too) and im hoping for the best! for those that are religious in any way, im sure you understand how much relief there would be if your doula could pray along side you during the labor and birth, and has the same goals as you do

I can totally relate! The midwife who I chose who just happens to be two miles from my house ended up being a Christian. I didn't know it before I found her. I was so excited when I found out I didn't know what to do with myself. It has been such a wonderful relationship. I'm glad for you!
