I'm too old to remember back to school memories. But, I'll try to remember a family vacation......

I can't remember the year (I was probably 12 or 13), but mom, dad, my little brother and rented a motorhome and drove from our home in Cashmere, WA (just outside of Wenatchee) to Laramie and Cheyenne, WY then to Mt Rushmore and Devils Tower (from "Close Encounters" movie) in South Dakota then back to Yellowstone, up into Montana and then home. The motorhome was a gutless wonder and had a very difficult time getting up any sort of hill. We got to see what my dad called "sheet lightening" across the plains of Wyoming, it's hard to describe but basically you don't see the strings of lightening it's when the whole sky becomes electrified looking, and I got to see my first triple rainbow (2 of the 3 arches were complete), and unfortunately, we lost our pomeranian puppy on that trip. Overall, it was a great trip and probably one of my favorite family vacations. We used to go on them every year until us kids got older.
