I don't know if I was ever pregnant. Last month my period started out normal, but only lasted 2 days. I didn't really think I could be pregnant because I did have a period. On Tuesday of this week I was bleeding VERY heavily and cramping so bad I could hardly walk and wanted to cry. I took some Iboprofen and the cramps finally got better. I bled like a normal period from then on and now 4 days later it is gone. The day I started bleeding it was 5 days earlier than I was supposed to start, and the blood was VERY red and VERY clotty (sorry tmi). I never have cramps ever and it's never clotty. I didn't know what to expect and really thought it was just an abnormal period for some reason, but now I wonder if it could have been a miscarriage?

If I took an HPT it would probably turn out negative if it's this late past the bleeding and I wouldn't have been very far along, right? Do I need to go to the doctor?

I am not an expert in this but sounds like you could have had a chemical pregnancy very early misscariage. I have heard that alot of woman experience them without ever knowing that they were pregnant. I would say at least call your dr and mention it to them and see what they suggest---good luck
