Hey Ladies,

Quick update. I am 35 weeks along and had to spend the night in L&D on Monday due to my blood pressure sky rocketing. They discharged me with mild pre-eclampsia and I am on complete bedrest until they decide it's healthier for Liam to be born than inside me.

Apparently my liver enzymes were elevated. I went back to the OB yesterday and he took more blood and was concerned that I may have something called HELLP Syndrome. Baby had a great ultrasound!!! Beautiful heartbeat and breathing and all good things.

So our OB called today and said that he ran more tests from yesterday's blood draw and my liver enzymes are still high but my platelet count is fine -- so no HELLP Syndrome.

We go back for more blood work again tomorrow.

I take my BP 2x a day and it was just 139/91 which -- while very high -- is much better than the 155/102 than had me hospitalized!

I will keep you posted. I highly dislike bedrest. I hate asking people to do things for me and I am all hormonal and feel bossy and lazy - even though I know those are irrational fears and I am doing what's best for our boy.

Right now we're unsure when he will be born, but are praying and excited!
Many thanks to Mom2*Lauryn*Jacob* for my beautiful siggy.

Take it easy! I know bedrest is horrid, I was on it almost a month at home and a then another month in the hospital. You are almost there, so excited for you!

Staci's right...bedrest is a bummer but you are so in the home stretch now!

I know that pre-e can be the pits too. Mine started in about 28 weeks but I managed to keep her in until 34. It's scary but it sounds like you have a pretty mild form. I will keep you in my T&Ps, please keep us posted!!!

*Thank you so much to Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggy!*

Thank you!!

Saw OB again today and they took more blood -- I had protein in urine and elevated BP still but home on bedrest I go so baby gets to stay in for at least another week or so!!
Many thanks to Mom2*Lauryn*Jacob* for my beautiful siggy.
