ugh I've had a sore throat/cough for the last 3 weeks and it's starting to drive me slowly insane.

The infection is not on my chest so I can't have antibiotics and paracetamol, strepsils and cough linctus is doing very little. Does anyone have any suggestions for remedies or even things that might just soothe it and make it easier to put up with?

honey would be a good choice. I also love Nutella for that as well not totally the healthiest . . . but anything thick and sticky will coat your throat and give you some relief. Honey is antibacterial so that's probably why it works as well as it does.

I know this is a little late to respond but I will still add this:

Apple Cider Vinegar Cures

Apple cider vinegar is supposed to work wonders... I also have been dealing with a horrible cough and started drinking it yesterday... I can't say it is easy but I am so desperate for some relief. Not sure if I am noticing anything or not.

I also have been taking a raw honey, fresh lemon juice, and water concoction.
