I'm not keeping up on the Essential Oil & Herb of the Week very well and I'd like to have this information here for anyone interested. This is my very old list from years ago. It's not updated w/ any new information that I've done in the weekly things so I'll be going back and editing each one instead of doing a weekly one.

It is an excellent emollient (softening and soothing to the skin) and also helps the skin to balance water loss and absorption of moisture. It is further a great moisturizer, suitable for all skin types, but is especially good for dry or irritated skin. Helps relieve irritation, inflammation and itching, and is greatly lubricating. Because the oil does not penetrate the skin overly quickly, it is a good massage medium to use to help spread the oil and essential oil mixture, while still allowing you time to do a good massage before it is absorbed by the skin. It also helps to relieve muscular aches and pains. Almond oil also protects against harmful UV rays. Shelf life is 12mths.

Angelica Root
Pale yellow in color. Has a fresh, peppery, woody and herbaceous scent.

Used for dull skin, exhaustion, psoriasis, toxin build-up, and water retention. Angelica eases muscular aches, soothes arthritic joints and rheumatic pains; eases indigestion problems and wind and improves poor appetite; an overall energy tonic and revitalizer, especially in the springtime. Warning: Phototoxic avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight or a sun bed for twelve hours, avoid during pregnancy and diabetes.

Clear in color, and thin in consistency. Has a distinctive scent of licorice (very strong smell!), rich and sweet smell.
