Have you tried the Hylands teething tablets? I"m sure they don"t have lactose in them or it would have really popped out at me since ds has a severe dairy allergy. They work wonders! But I really don"t think that 1 dose of Tylenol per day for up to 7 days will be detrimental to him. I find that Ethan really likes to chew on a cold wet washcloth when he"s teething.

p.s. sorry, my apostrophe button isn"t working, so I have to use quotes-lol.

The Hyland's Teething Tablets have worked every time for us. The Rescue Remedy helps a lot too, but mostly from the agitation that comes along with teething. When she's really bad I'll let Kiki chew on fresh herbs (stevia, spearmint, basil...even rainbow chard stalks) and that works wonders when nothing else does. I don't know why, but it does.

Hyland's are lactose based also: http://www.hylands.com/products/teething.php

When I was buying them, the man at the health food store said these were better than the Hyland's. I think the lactose just helps with flavour and texture maybe.

PS Sorry about your apostrophe button [/b]
Oh NO! How did I miss that? Now I can't give them to him anymore How evil is it that I wish I just didn't know? Teething sux! Oh well, I guess it's better that I know.
