Come on.. Everyone has at least one thing that they HAVE to do....

Applying Starch to all my clothes.. Nothing like a good ole bottle of Faultless....
Arrainging money so they all face the same direction...
Pumping gas and stopping at a multiple of 5.

Oh I could go on.. Who's next?

I count things.
My money has to be facing the same direction too.
Towels always have to be perfect and even.
Everything has to be multiples of five in my house. 5 cans of veggies, 5 apples, 5 oranges...you get the picture.
I wash my hands ALL...THE...TIME!

I have so many I can't even count them. checking the locked doors at night, cleaning I have to clean everything atleast 2 or 3 times. everything I do has to be done in a certain order or i start over. Cleaning and routine is were most of my little ticks are.

Same on the money

I have to walk an even number of steps. And I count them especially stairs however most staircases have 13 stairs... so I have to skip one)

Towels have to be folded the correct way or I will get up in the middle of the night to do it

My alarm has to be set to an uneven number

I have to lock and relock doors twice even if I am running late

I wash my hands and arms multiple times a day

I am obsessed with cleaning and will spend hours cleaning one room. Yet it gets messy quickly..

Well I am not the same on the money... I don't care if all the bills are facing the same direction.. I have to have the bills in order.. Like $20s, $10s, $5s, and $1..My hubby gets so mad at me because he just wads money up and puts it in his wallet.. I will go and take it out and put in order..
When locking the house or the car I check to see if it is locked 4 or 5 times. This really annoys my family...

if i'm writing a letter or something my penmanship has to be perfect or i will go back and re-write the whole thing[/b]

I am the same way..

I had NO IDEA that everyone was a little OCD it's not just me!!!

For me it's food safety. If anything is coming close to its expiration date it goes in the garbage. If leftovers have been around for more than 48 hours they go in the garbage. If anything has sat out on the counter for more than 2 hours it goes in the garbage... sadly, yes, I throw away a lot of food.

I think it has to do with my phobia of vomiting - anything that has any possibility of causing any kind of stomach upset HAS to go!!

EDIT: This coming from a gal whose mom defrosted chicken on the counter all day long ICK!
