what do you do with your kids clothing? i have bags and bags! today i sat down and said i would just keep a few and i could not bring myself to do anything with them. i just sat there and smelled them and was just thinking when were they ever this small!

my hubby says he just doesn't get it! i tell him it's because i'm their mommy and i carried them under my heart! and i guess it just means more to me!

is there something wrong with me for feeling like this?

I still have everything. Right now my youngest is growing into her sister's stuff. We have no clue if our surprise will be a boy or a girl. We are still not sure we are done with babies, so i will probably keep stuff for a while yet.

I packed them all up in a plastic bin and that's that!! I'm lucky because my DH does understand and doesn't want to give any of our DS's clothes away either. I had my DD's clothes all packed up, but I lost it all in a fire, including the quilt my grandmother and aunts hand made for her. We moms totally understand why you would want to keep them all.

I pulled out all of DS's special outfits and packed the rest up for Big Brother/Big Sister Assocation. I still have a couple plastic totes full but I can't get rid of them.

Some people are more sentimental than others, nothing wrong with that.
My friend is very sentimental and when her mother passed away suddenly she just couldn't bring herself to toss out or give away her clothes - she turned them all over to a quilter she knew and had a "memory quilt" made with photos of her mom printed on some of the squares.
Maybe you could do this for your children's clothing and hubby would be pleased at not just storing it, but you would still have all the visual and tactile memory of those cute little outfits...

I got lucky, my sister is having a little girl. She is going to be a new mom and single so I gave all of Annika's clothes to her. It wasn't so hard knowing they were going to a good home.
