Ever since my daughter was born, my ILs have been telling my boyfriend that babies want nothing to do with their dads until they are about 3 - 4 months old. Why? Because Im breastfeeding. I told him thats BS!! He NEEDS to cuddle her, play with her, change her bum, etc. Despite what they say, he can still make a bond with her, theres more to it than just feeding the baby yeesh. So he barely touched her at all and was all depressed about it because he thought she would want nothing to do with him. Hes off on weekends, he picked her up, and guess whos a COMPLETE daddys girl??? She will scream, he will pick her up and shes all happy, then screams when he puts her down. She just cant get enough of her dad.....shes even better with him than with me, little traitor lol. So yeah, take THAT ILs!! WHO was right??? Now if I can just get MIL off my back about giving her sugar water and rice cereal. My mom too actually.

Its not a big deal really, but to me it is

What a stupid thing for your ILs to say... How ignorant. I hope your BF will continue to ignore them now and be involved.
