Hello & to the board! I'm Amanda, wife to Mike & mom to Austin (13) & an angel! Have you recently been dx? Let us know how your endo appt goes. BTW, if you are new to this, I highly recommend the book Living Well with Hypothyroidism by Mary J. Shomon. You'll learn a lot from the book!

Yes I just found out last Tuesday. I had my annual exam at my GYN and since I was still producing milk and hadn't nursed in 1.5 years she decided to check my thyroid and one other thing that a few of you had mentioned...lacto something I think... That was normal but my TSH was 7.1 the Endo is making the GYN call in the appointment which I will have to change most likely due to scheduling constraints. Hopefully they will call in soon so I can get this started! I had no idea that is why my hair is thinning...I thought it was due to having a two year old!

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my GREAT siggy.

Hey there!! Another July '07 member - we may have to get our own subforum, lol. Sorry to hear that you have hypothyroidism. I myself am hyper, but most of the ladies here seem to be hypo so they'll be able to answer all the questions you're bound to have
