So, I've have hyperthyroid since I was 15ish and its been fine for a looong time now. But recently, I've had weird headaches. I do have headaches everyday and migraines at least twice a week. But, whats "new" this time around, I'm ALWAYs tired, and with a 17 month old, I can't be tired!

So, I seek out a doctor. Then another...another along with an edo dr. All did nothing but give me muscle relaxers and anixity pill. I REQUESTED blood work at all, one declined and the others I don't think even checked my thyroid no matter how many times I said it no matter how many times I requested them to.

So, it took a trip to a lil clinic and bit to far from where I live to get answers. I didn't want to at first and I wanted to run when I met her. She was scary!
But she new my sister so she was nice to me. But she is a military woman and gave no BS. After a few checks, well actually only one check she felt my thyroid was enlaged.

SHe ordered blood work and a us on it.

So yesterday I get the results. My thyroid is (hyper) acting up again with vengence and it brought a buddy along! The parathyroid, a gland behind it (????) is acting up and I'm producting too much calcium

She upped my RX on Proply and she doesn't speiclaize in this stuff but she referred me to an Endocrinologist who acutly came down and met me. My appt with him isn't until June but he seems nifty.

But yea...that was my vent and yayness!

I swear, some doctors think that just because someone doesn't have a medical degree that they can't possibly know anything...as if after years of dealing with an illness you wouldn't know your own symptoms! Makes me mad....

I'm glad it worked out for you though!

Yay for a dr finally listening to you!!! I don't understand what's so hard about ordering blood work!! I suggest you call the other places you went to and let them know.
