What did you expect to be easy or hard having widely spaced siblings? Were your expectations correct or did something surprise you?

Hmm, I didn't really think about it. I had my first right before I started university, so it was not a good idea to have another one any time soon, so we just waited a while. this time I was ready for it again when Josephine was about 2, but I had a miscarriage, and that amongst other things gave me a hard time. But now I feel really ready for it again. A good thing is the girls are really consciously aware of the pregnancy, becoming a big sister and stuff, they really understand it and can 'help' in their own way. It's also easier to explain to them that mummy has to tend to the baby for a moment, but that she can play with them later, etc.
