A neighbour told me to do this before I go to bed after BD to keep the sperm in. I tried to look up info on the net and I couldnt find anything? What have you ladies heard? Is it Effective? Can it cause damage?

I have not heard of this, but I have heard of using the Instead cups to do so. Here is the website: http://www.softcup.com/

I use them for my period and find them quite easy to use, so it might be worth trying to use them to keep the sperm in.

i actually use a bit of tissue paper. I thought about a tampon but decided that it would probably soak up more then desired.

So I use a little bit of tissue, enough to block the hole but it's never inside. Me and dh call it...."corking her"

For God's sake---no!!! Have you ever heard of a little thing called Toxic Shock Syndrome?! You are only supposed to use a tampon during AF. Tampons, when used incorrectly, are a breeding ground for bacteria which has the potential to kill you. That's why they put that warning on every box.

Just make sure you have the big O while you've got a pillow under your butt then there's no need to worry about it all falling out, the good stuff gets sucked right in there by the cervix when it contracts during big O.

My gyno actually recommended, after 4 years of TTC, that I use a tampon after sex for 2 hours and lay flat on my back for 30 min after sex with tampon in. First cycle trying this method, but I'm giving it a shot.

This is an old post. All the same,I have not heard of this one and I do not think that it is safe. Wouldn’t that lead to accumulation of bacteria? Also remember that tampons are for AF. You do not know how they react to sperm. They could produce something toxic.

Haha, I have never thought of that! It is really a funny and sad post. As we really have so many myths about the pregnancy and conceiving. I agree that it is not healthy to use tampons. And barely it is productive. I agree about the pillow under your butt. The position is more important, IMHO.
