Hey Ladies! I'm really confused...
On Thursday evening I started having ovulation cramps on my right side. I took an OPK and it was negative. I took another one Friday morning with FMU and it was positive. I decided to take another one on Saturday morning with FMU and it was negative. I was figuring that's normal to get a negative OPK the day after a positive, but then on Sunday evening I started having more ovulation cramps again on my right side.
I took another OPK and it was negative (but looked really close to being positive). So Monday morning I took another OPK with FMU and it was positive again. This morning (Tuesday) I was still curious, so I took another OPK with FMU, as well as an hour and a half later and both were positive! I even took 2 more about 3 hours after that - I used the same urine and 2 different tests (one is a Rite Aid brand, the other a Clear Blue Easy), and the Rite Aid was positive, but the Clear Blue Easy looks negative.

I'm so confused! First off, do you think the first time I felt the ovulation cramps I was just 'gearing up' but maybe didn't release an egg, so my body tried again? Or could I have release 2 eggs a day apart? All of the tests I've been taking have been the Rite Aid brand, with the exception of the Clear Blue one I mentioned. My hubby and I have been BD'ing a lot, just in case lol but I think he could use a break haha

Any input would be appreciated! I wanted to post pics, but it won't let me

thank you, and sorry for writing so much!!!

Are you new to using OPKs? I'm just asking because I never used FMU with OPKs. I usually test around 10/11 am and then again around 3/4 pm. It is possible that your body geared up to O but didn't release an egg. But when you get a positive OPK means that your will likely O in 24-36hrs. I would definitely BD again tonite just to make sure you have your bases covered. When I get a positive OPK, DH and I bd every other night (and usually all the way up until AF shows up). Hmm I wonder why it wouldn't let you post pics. Do you have a photobucket account or an account on countdown to pregnancy? Most of upload our photos there and then share the link in the post.

That's a good question, that I don't know the answer too. I think it could be you geared up and didn't. Glad you're keeping your bases covered! When is af due?

This is my first time using OPKs. The directions actually say to use FMU, but I was wondering that too. I guess I'll just test a few times a day and see what happens. Haha and I'll keep doing the BD when I get home this evening from work I'll see if my hubby can help me post pics. AF isn't due until around the 18th (I say around because AF showed up 6 days late last cycle, which was very mean!)
Thanks for your help ladies!!

I know that the clear blue easy fertility monitor says to use FMU
Is that the one you have?

Oh and any question you have this site is great for all tests!!

FMU is known to give false positives when it comes to opks, but that doesn't mean it did. I always use smu and then again 4-6 hrs later.
It is possiable to have geared up and then fail to ovulate & your body tries again later ( which would result in the positives on the separate day) you can O anywhere from 24-36( sometimes as early as 12 and as late as 48) from the first true postive. honestly would suggest that if you don't succeed this cycle you look into temping, temping is really the only sure fire way to know you od without a u/s or blood draw. Good luck momma and just keep bding, and if you feel like it test in 10/12 days.

We are always here to help , we love too! If you decide to chart there are some amazing ladies here who are excellent at reading and dicphering them.

Thanks ladies! For all of the opks I used the Rite Aid brand, with the exception of that last one. The Rite Aid brand says to use FMU, and the other one (Clear Blue) says to use it any time of day. I'll definitely check out peeonastick.com
And I think I will start temping next cycle if I don't have any luck this time around. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and keep bd'ing

You definitely could have geared up to I and then didnt and are gearing up again. It sounds promising that you will O now, since you have had multiple OPKs + in a row. The only sure way to know whether or not you actually O without Dr monitoring, is by taking your temp. If you dont get your BFP this month, I strongly suggest it.
