Hi Everybody! Since AF showed up yesterday, I decided that I'm going to start temping this cycle and I have a few questions.

I know to temp every morning right when I wake up before I do anything, and at the same time every morning. My question is what do I do if I wake up in the middle of the night? Sometimes I wake up to pee, or the dog wakes me up to go outside etc.. do I just go back to sleep and do it when I wake up at my normal time, or should I temp if I wake up in the middle of the night? Or does it depend on what time it is when I wake up/how much sleep I have left until I wake up?

I also have a few OPK questions. This time I purchased the Clearblue Easy digital ones with the smiley face (instead of the Rite Aid brand I bought last time). It has 20 tests in it, so it should last me the whole cycle. Is it ok to only use them once per day? I'm afraid I'll miss my positive result if I don't test when the surge happens. It says in the directions to use any time of the day, but I've read that people say not to use FMU? I've been thinking of getting the Wondfo's off of Amazon next cycle (if I don't have any luck this cycle) since they're pretty inexpensive for how many you get, and I've read a lot of ladies saying they use them on here.

Any advise would be very helpful since I'm still kind of new to this!
Thank you

I would take my temp if I woke up in the middle of the night as long as I had gotten at least 3 hours of sleep. Then if I were able to fall back to sleepn for at least 3 hours I woukd disgard the previous temp and take a new temo at regular time. I hope that makes sense it did in my head. As far as opks I only took one test per day in the afternoon around 2 or 3 pm and I never missed my surge. O also used the cheap wandfos and had good success with them. If you want though you can do them twice a day if youre worried about missing your surge. I would say late morning and then again early evening.

If I wake up to pee and it is close to the time I temp originally, I take my temp. Then I try to sleep for at least another 3 hours and retake it. Normally for me the temp is pretty consistant so there is not much of a difference. I know there is an online BBT temp adjuster you can use as well.

As far as OPKs go, I tend to test 2 times a day because I buy the cheapies I do it with SMU and then an evening test. If I think it is almost positive, I will retake another right before bed. Then the next morning to see if the surge has passed.

Remember though:
**O happens between 12-48 hours after (+) OPK
**OPKs answers the question "Am I fertile?"
**temping answers the question "When did I Ovulate?"

I hope this helps BABY !
