hey ladies I was wondering if you could give me some advice/opinions! I had a positive OPK on CD7 and I'm pretty sure I ovulated on CD8 like usual, and on CD13 I had EWCM. I'm typically a pretty "wet" girl but this was absolutely EWCM I could stretch it and everything. I will BD tonight in case, but I'm just really confused. I have had short cycles (usually 23/24) days since I stopped birth control but maybe its later because this cycle will be longer? IDK help!

(usually 23 day cycle)
CD7: positive OPK
C8: O I think
CD13- EWCM again?

I had the same thing happen this cycle on CD14 and thought I O'd then, but then EWCM came back in full force and got another positive opk and "secondary" fertility notice on my ovacue monitor on CD18. The monitor has since "confirmed" o was on CD18 (I know it can't be confirmed 100% without ultrasound, but ovacue levels remained elevated). So maybe your body geared up to o on CD8 but didn't for some reason and now is going to for real this time? Everyone tells me birth control definitely can mess with your cycles - mine used to be 30 days or less and now are longer Good luck and bd tonight just in case!!

thank you KH79! I'll BD tonight just in case, my birthday is tomorrow so I was planning on it anyway but thanks! maybe I will O later than I thought for some reason. I didn't get a positive OPK but I suppose I could have maybe missed it? me and DHBD every other day anyway, so I'm hoping my chances are pretty good! I'm 22 and haven't had children

The only way you can ovulate two times if it's in a 24 hour period.

Sounds like you covered your bases weather you ovulated when you thought you originally did or now.

BTW, Happy Birthday!

thank you so much Renee360 and JennyForrest!

I'm definitely either ovulating or having implantation pain because I keep having these little twinges and prick like feeling very low. It isn't painful but definitely noticeable. I've been taking Mucinex but I had stopped after I figured I ovulated, either way I think my chances are pretty decent. The last time we BD'ed before tonight was on the 17th though, you think if I ovulated today there would still be little swirmers?

If you did O on CD8, it would make sense to have EWCM around CD 13ish. There is a surge of estrogen around that time post ovulation. If you confirmed O by charting and with a thermal shift and CM dry up to start with, then this bought of EWCM is infertile and just related to the estrogen surge post O. If you didn't confirm with charting, you still could have Oed on CD8, but you should also consider the EWCM you have now as fertile and BD anyway. Make sense? lol
