Ok, well I lost my original one.. So I'll try and remember it best I can.. It may not be very detailed, but I had an easy labour anyway, so.. Here it is::

It was 10:30pm on the night before my expected due date and I was sure that I wasn't even close to ready to having this baby. I had just laid down in bed with my BF when I felt a gush and thought, "oh no, this can't be it". I ran to the shower, grabbed the phone and called my mom. She told me not to panic, and that nothing was happening yet because I wasn't having contractions. But I wasn't sure because I had been getting stomach pains lately so I couldn't tell the difference. We waited close to an hour before she decided to come and take me and my BF to the hospital. Once we got there, we went straight up to the assessment room and the nurse hooked me up to time my possible contractions. She said nothing was really happening, and they were going to send me home unless I felt like that was a bad idea, which I did. I knew what I was feeling by then and it hurt. They moved me up to another room where I took another shower and tried to relax a little bit, but it wasn't happening. A nurse came in then to check and see how far dilated I was. Well, I was 5-6cm. They moved me to another room (the one I'd be delivering in) and hooked me up to an IV because I wanted the epidural. It took the guy about half an hour to get to my room, and another ten or so to set up for it. Once it was in and working, I felt no pain at all and had gone from a completely horrible, cranky mood to a rather relaxed and happy one. That lasted about 2 hours before I was checked again and I was already down to 8cm dilated. They called in the peds beause her heart rate had been dipping and they weren't sure why. I pushed for about 45 minutes and she came out easily. She wasn't crying though, because the cord was around her neck. She was taken over to the peds and I didn't get to see her for about ten minutes. They debated whether or not they were going to take her over to the special care nursery, but decided she was ok to stay with me. She was born at 5:00am, right on the dot on the 18th of January, and weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces, 21.5 inches long.
