Has anyone one here experienced having better positive results with blue dye than pink dye tests? I am having a hard time with pink dye, but I just received a positive on a blue dye, EPT, perfect plus, just a little faint. My pink dyes give me evaps (Answer, FRER, whch are really common latley) and I took a EPT yesterday and got a BFN but today BFP faint... AF is due today, so we'll see I just wanted an opinion. My DH and I saw it in the 2-3 minute time frame. What do you think? Thanks!

I don't know. I mean I have had a really faint positive on blue dye before and have also had several very faint false positives. I would say that your just going to have to wait a couple days and try again with either kind of test and see if it gets darker. I hope it really is positive!

Blue dyes scare me. I have gotten so so many evaps on them and thought I was pregnant when I actually was not. Just be leary of the positive you have and know that it may not be accurate. If AF does not show, take another pink dye or just go right to blood work. Here is my FALSE blue dye from the cycle before I got pregnant:

so you see why I don't trust them. I have also used the +/- kind and have gotten evaps on those too (usually an evap has a very thin blue line going down and off center to the left and a thick line going across) ....I hope you get your answer soon....good luck!

OK well at least my test didn't look like that. It was an even plus sign, my DH saw it too so I wasn't crazy. I just wish AF wasn't due this weekend and that I had to wait for her, LOL. Thanks!

It you have enough HCG to show up on a blue dye test it will show up on a pink dye test as well. I have had clear + on blue dyes that were false.

I like blue dye so much better than pink dye. I got a BFP with Equate (Walmart brand) before I got one with FRER. I hate FRERs.

Thank you for the "I hate FRER" comments, I do too, lol. I did get a pretty decent result on my Wondfo test this morning, so we'll see. I am hoping this is the month. :-)
