Okay this has been driving me bonkers! I switched birth control (from one low-dosage one to another) and started my new pack on 8/27. I missed two pills the start of week 3 (monday and tuesday) and, when I noticed, continued the pack and took one day of week 4 and started a new pack the 20th of this month. Took a pregnancy test last Friday (9/21) after drinking a lot of water and it came out negative. I've been really tired, nauseated, and my back is killing me. What is the likelihood I'm pregnant?

I would take another test and this time use it correctly. Taking a pregnancy test after drinking a lot of fluid is not correctly taking it, so you cant' count it as accurate.

Since you switched pills and then did not take them as directed, there is always the possibility that you ovulated because of this and may have gotten pregnant.

HOWEVER, not taking pills correctly and switching types can also cause those symptoms that you are experiencing. It throws your hormones out of whack.

So, honestly, there's no way to really determine if you're more likely to be experiencing pregnancy symptoms or side effects from the pill.
Thank-you Bokkechick for the beautiful siggy!

I would definitely test again, like the above poster said.. when you intake a lot of fluids before the test, you are doing it incorrectly. Good luck!
