i went back to the ER yesterday...different hospital, in severe pain. and i explained what was wrong and practically at that point was begging them to take the iud out. they did a pregnancy test and it came back negative and the dr came in and told me, "generally we don't remove them, but since you're having problems with it and the clinic isn't doing their jobs, i'll do a couple cultures and try to remove it for you." i've never been so happy in the ER as i was after that thing was out!!! lol. come to find out, majority of the pain was because the iud was sitting on my CERVIX!!! it wasn't even in my uterus at all! WOW!!!!!!!!!

once everything was done, he told me about a gynecologist in the same center that i could switch to and they would take my medicaid. haha, i am SO happy all of it is over!!! still no period, but they gave me the confirmation i needed and i don't have the iud so i'm just taking it that maybe child birth is throwing it off afterall. idk. lol.

I am so glad you went back and they took care of things. I know first hand how painful a misplaced or shifted IUD can be. What do you think you will do now, as far as Birthcontrol?

No wonder you were so sore. I'm glad the dr in the ER helped you out and hopefully if you go to the new gynae you find out he is a great dr

I am so happy and relieved for you! Oh my gosh, so happy you are no longer in pain. The only way i realized that mine was falling out was because I didn't have pain. Please take care and enjoy your little girl. Also like Tink said, find a birth control that works for you. Best of luck to you!

for now im just going with condoms as birth control until i figure out something else. i really don't like hormonal birth control...but if i can't figure something else out, i might go back to it.
