Hi, I've been ttc for 5 months now. I've been off BC for 8 months.before getting off birth control I was on it for about 10 years. I am now 29 years old. My cycles always vary from 28-34 days. This month in particular I ovulated early at day 10 and my LP is typically long, around 18 days. Start of last month period 1/28/14, ovulated on 2/6/14 (low temp), temp spiked the next day. Then another spike on 2/11/14 and another spike on 2/17/14. Still no period today 2/19/14. Is it normal to have a short ovulation and long LP? My husband and I had sex often around and on ovulation day. I am feeling slight symptoms of pregnancy, but this has happened before and I still got my period.

I definitely can tell when I ovulate because I get quick sharp jabbing pains. I have been keeping track of my BBT and I have a very clear chart indication of when I ovulated and I as well used an OPK. The OPK was in exact alignment of my temperature chart and I had positive OPK for eight days straight from ovulation day, then back to negative.

I even went to the dr and they did an ultrasound and blood tests. I have a healthy uterus and the counts in my ovaries were normal. One was a littler higher and had 15. I was a little deficient in vitamin D, my numbers were at 27 when normal is 30, so I am taking extra vitamin D in addition to prenatals I have been on. I also found out my blood type is O negative, which I read that I negative woman have more trouble conceiving. I don't drink or smoke and I get plenty of rest.

Since I don't have a regular cycle ( 8 day period, short ovulation, long LP and various lengths in cycle). It is bothering me not knowing what the cause is. Once the De gives the ok on my next is checking my husband SC.

Does anything of what I said sound alarming to anyone or just normal? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

My cycles are anywhere from 29-30 days, LP is 17 days and I tend to ovulate on CD13-15, but this cycle I populated on CD11.

Your cycle sounds normal to me. Did you mention this to your Dr?

Best of luck with your TTC journey and hopefully it's short and sweet!

With all the temp spikes and such long positive OPK's, it kind of sounds like your body was trying to gear up to ovulate multiple times, but didn't. Perhaps it did with the last spike. Do you have a link to your chart?
Thank-you Bokkechick for the beautiful siggy!

I don't really have any advice, but wanted to say good luck!
