Good morning!
Iím wondering if anybody has any spousal support insight for part time moms.

Iím in California. I know every situation is different, but can anybody give any information on how or if mutually agreed part time work for mom is treated? Custody is 50/50 and we agreed on part time work so I can drop off and pick up our LOs to and from school. I know this is usually considered in calculating spousal support but not sure how much weight is given.

Is there another factor that is weighted more? I also took two years off to care for LOs and went back to work part time rather than full time to care for our LOs. All mutually agreed upon.

I used the child support calculator on a gov. website but understand things may be quite different.

Iím asking because Iím considering working full time because I imagine I will need all the money I can get but being there for my LOs is important and if heís on board why not? But then I circle back around to money. With the child support amount from the calculator (again I know it may not be accurate) thereís a $400 difference between part and full time. Iím wondering if spousal support will make up for th difference (and then some?).

Any insight is helpful. Thank you!
