I'm Elizabeth and my daughter, Arabella is 7months. She has silent reflux. Although it is getting better. We went through so many different formulas, it was crazy. She did ok on the Similac Alimentum as long it was the ready to feed bottles. She is on Similac Isomil Advanced now and is doing great.

This board is kind of a ghost town, but I usually check it once a day.

*Thank you *Kiliki* for the beautiful siggy!

I wish more people would post in here too. We have tried 5 different formulas & 2 meds with no success. I am calling a specialist. She is so miserable...screams hysterically in pain.

What meds have you tried?

We did Zantac from 6 weeks old to 2 months old. Worked for a couple days, then back to square one.

Then we did Prevacid solutabs from two months old...we did 7.5 mg once a day for a few weeks, and he outgrew that right away.

We were then referred to a GI specialist who then put him on 7.5 mg twice a day. That worked wonderfully until recently. We need to make another appointment as it seems to be creeping back to us.

We still hold him upright most of the time after he eats, he sleeps on an incline, and all the things you are supposed to do. He is breastfed, but occasionally gets formula when I can't pump enough at work. We use Target brand, the "partially broken down whey" one with the purplish writing on it. It's the only one he can tolerate. I think it compares to Enfamil Gentlease? Not sure though.

Good luck! Reflux is a nightmare. I'm praying my future kids won't get it!

We were originally on Similac Sensitive then we tried Similac Isomil Advanced and now hes on the Nutramigen A+ which seems to have been the best one so far, still not even close to perfect but better! It also took him a while to get used to the taste but seems to be tolerating it now. Hes also on 15mg of Prevacid solutab once a day. I will be going back to the doctors this week though because it seems to be getting worse again.
Good luck and I hope you find something that works!

Wesley was breast fed, but was not gaining enough weight (from the reflux and low birth weight). He did the best on Similac Alimentum. Enfamil AR worked well as far as the reflux, but made him constipated.
