Ruby has been choking on her spit-up, and I noticed it is mucus-like with the whitish tint of her Alimentum formula. She has choked to the point of me having to beat on her back and bulb suction her mouth because she couldn't breathe. Anyone else have reflux like this? She's not congested or sick.

Teddy had HORRIBLE reflux when we went on formula... and still do. Really high dose of PPI are the only thing that helps. He gets the mucousy spit up.. but doesn't choke.

Gabe always had very mucus filled vomit, it has finally stopped after having his adnoids out and tubes put in his ears. For him the problem was the acid in the vomit irritated his adnoid so much that it was permanently swollen and blocking the mucus from draining normally. Unfortunately when it moved and his sinus cavity did drain it was a ton of mucus all at once and it would make him vomit, which would irritate his reflux, which sould make him vomit (insert long cycle of awfulness.) But he'd have the same problem with the long strings that were gaging him and making it hard to breathe.
