So when I woke up this morning I felt like crap!! I had a fever of a 100, my body was soooo achey and my boobs wer kiling me!!!!! My baby was still sleeping so I couldn't wake her to eat so I went downstairs to pump..Im asumeing they were engorged and making me feel like crap? But they weren't rock hard like they Normally are. I only got 2 oz's out in 20 mins and It still hurt. Now all day my right ( which is always my bad one ) boob has been soooooo sore!!! I can't even cary the baby infront of me cause I can't have anything leaning against it!!! Usually I's the ipple that hurts but no It's the boob..Do you know what caused this? The only change is DH and I swiched side's in the bed so she's been nurseing off the good boob once before bed and once at 6am...But I dont see how this has anything to do with It?

Maybei it is a clogged duct?

I had one a few weeks ago (but never had a fever) and it hurt even if I lifted my arm up. I sent 2 days BFing, applying a heated gel pac, taking extra showers just to let the hot water be on it and then pumping for 10-15 minutes after.

Honestly, from the sound of it, it's progressed to an infection from a clogged duct. I don't think your switch has anything to do with it, clogs happen, as do infections.

Make an appointment to go see your OB/midwife. I had a mastitis infection pretty darn bad a few months ago, she gave me some medication and it cleared up very quickly. The most important thing to remember is that you HAVE to keep nursing and/or pumping, to maintain your supply. It won't hurt your baby at all to do so, and it's one fo the best things you can do (along with the meds) to clear it up quickly.

Thank you Jaidynsmum for the siggy!

Are you okay?
It does sound like a bad clogged duct, or possibly mastitis. Please go get checked out! I had this 2 weeks ago and it was very painful. I got it treated before it got too bad. Please keep us posted!
