My son is 9 months old and has been a great nurser the whole time. I got AF the past 3 months with a long span between around 30-35 days. My last was 8/2. I started to come down with mastitis (mild case) and the doctor didn't presribe anything but ibuprofen, heat and nurse nurse nurse. I nursed pretty much every 2 hours while awake for about 3 days. Well that was last week and still no AF. I have tested twice and both were negative. (thank goodness, I am not ready again yet). Has anyone else ever had this happen where your period just stops for a while when you are still nursing? maybe due to the increase in nursing? I did have cramping for a few days off and on but that was it. Please tell me this is not too uncommon......

It can definitely happen with an increase in nursing! Danny was in the NICU for 2 months. Right at the end of those 2 months, AF came to visit. Well, then Danny came home, and I went from pumping with one nursing a day to nursing plenty and pumping occasionally. AF hasn't been back in 4 months.

Thank you Jaidynsmum for the siggy!
