Hello all.

I am expecting my 2nd baby in May. I had a bit of a scare 2 days ago and I bled a little...and had some cramping. The doctor did a sonogram and said everything looked very normal for this stage of my pregnancy. I am hopeful that my pregnancy will continue to be as healthy as my first one.

Anyway...a question my doc asked me is if I had any breast tenderness ...well I don't at all. I am guessing its because I'm still nursing? Has anyone been pregnant and nursed....and did you feel the symptoms of pregnancy in your breasts...like tenderness? I guess I am worried that perhaps something could be wrong if I am not feeling tenderness. My doc assured that it was because I am breast feeding.

Still...I am wondering if anyone has had experience with this...

How many weeks are you? I didn't start feeling any tenderness (and b/c I was nursing, it was more than just tenderness-it was pain) until a little bit later (3rd month or so...)

I have never really felt "tenderness" of my breasts during pregnancy (other than the odd feelings I got BFing my toddler when I was pg with my baby). I've had four kids, so having tenderness only once is conclusive that it's not necessary for a healthy pregnancy.

Well I am 5 and 1/2 weeks only. I think around this time I may have some tenderness with my last one. I guess I am just paranoid because of the threat of miscarriage.

Thank you for your reply

I am pregnant and in the May DDC also and just wanted to share with you that I never had breast tenderness at all until much later in my pregnancy with my son (maybe 4-5 months) and I wasn't even breastfeeding. I don't have any tenderness this time either.

My soreness didn't kick in until about 6-8 weeks along, and it started out very mild. Some women never experience it though. I had asked the other women in my DDC that are still nursing and I am one of the only ones experiencing it.

I breastfed while I was pregnant. I don't think I have ever felt tenderness in my breasts while being pregnant. My nipples got pretty sore though
