Hey ladies. I'm popping in from June 2013 PR.. My son is not quite 3 1/2 months old and we've been BFing strong the whole time. Recently he has begun sleeping up to 10 1/2 hours straight at night and I fear my supply may be tanking due to this. Should I be pumping once during the night to keep up supply?

I would, that way your breasts aren't getting engorged either.

no, you do not have to unless you want to pump. Your supply will adjust to his needs and his sleep schedule.

Agree...your body will adjust. Having said that, I wish that I had pumped once during the night when #1 started STTN. Eventually I did really struggle with supply (stress, not enough time to pump at work, etc), and if I could have pumped overnight/early AM, I think it would have helped. This time around, I've been pumping during the night if/when Anna STTN, which is only occasionally.

I think if I didn't have to work/pump for bottles, I would just let my body adjust and not pump overnight, but I remember all too well what it felt like to struggle, so I'm working hard to prevent that this time, if possible.
