I just lost my baby girl and was wondering if anyone has gone through anything similar. She was born 16 weeks early and very growth restricted. She was born at 1 pound and thrived for 6 months (reaching almost 8 pounds) going back and forth between the oscillator, conventional vent, cpap, and vapo therm. She was on very high conventional vent settings with astronomical blood gas levels when she passed and I am having a hard time finding anyone to relate because her situation was so rare. I feel like if I can relate to someone it may help me grieve. Please help :..(

Hello. I was lurking and wanted to respond. My name is Nicole and I lost my daughter Grace in November 2007. She was a micro preemie with severe IUGR, born at 30 weeks weighing 1lb. 11 oz. She had a ton of lung issues. She passed away at 11 months after being on and off the vent. Please PM me if you want to chat. I am willing to answer any of your questions. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter.
