DH and I are done having children. We may change our mind but financially we are 100% done after this baby. He has two children from two previous relationships, I have two children from a previous engagement and he adopted them. This is our first and last baby together. I have very complicated pregnancies and cannot go through another, as badly as we may want another girl (he has 2 boys plus this boy due soon, and I have a boy and girl).

So we are looking for permanent options. Obviously DH could get a vasectomy, but we can't afford it. It WOULD be easiest though and I think he honestly should do it. But my question is, what permanent options are there for me?

I'm going to be nursing this baby. For temporary solutions the mini pill or any type of hormonal birth control will NOT work. I get too many side effects and do NOT do well on it. I can't do an IUD while I am nursing...and I've had cyst problems so I'm heisitant to go this route (I know its not permanent only 5 yrs or so but whatever).

I've heard about Essure but not sure about its safety and it hasn't been around long. I'm having a vaginal birth so would have to go under the knife for a tubal ligation. Not sure I want to do that. *Sigh*. I have my 36 week appointment today and will discuss options with my doc but I know what he'll suggest...Essure...because he does a lot of those.

Momma to Alex (2005), Cadence, (2008), Ethan (2010), Brayden (2012), and Adrianna Elise due September 19th 2014

Stepmom to two (2006, and 2009).
