I feel like this is a silly question, but here goes.

Okay, so I'm supposed to start Nuva ring for the first time today. But my period still hasn't stopped. So...can I go ahead and start the nuva ring or should I wait until my period is over? I wanted to ask the doctor, but it's Sunday and they won't be in.

Thank you Jaidynsmum for the great sig!

I sell Nuvaring - you can put it in no later than day 5 of your cycle even if you haven't stopped your period. Later than that, you will need to use a back up method.

I used NuvaRing for a few years and you should definitely put it in on the day you're supposed to put it in regardless of if you're bleeding. I used to take it in/out on Sunday and my period wouldn't start until Thursday so sometimes I would still be bleeding on Sunday when it was time to put it back in.

I used to NuvaRing a couple years ago. I agree with everything said above. You should always stick to your schedule even if you are still on your period.
