Hi there
Congrats on starting tcc! How did you figure your o date? Its hard when coming off BC cause there is no telling when you might o, apart from charting temperatures, cervical mucous and using ovulation tests. Did you have regular cycles before, and how long have you been on BC?

FX for you that youve caught an eggy!

The period you experienced was probably not a true menstruation, just a withdrawal bleed from the hormones leaving your body. Do not predict ovulation by counting days, it's not very reliable. Especially while your body regulates after being on the hormones.

You can identify ovulation by tracking your signs of fertility. Any time you notice feeling very wet or slippery in the vaginal area, that means you are very fertile and might be ovulating. That's the time to TTC!
