I'm just wondering is it possible to get pregnant if I back up my bc pills or is it harmful? I take lessina and to avoid AF I just takes the active weeks then switch to a new Pack I don't take the sugar pills. Is there anything wrong or could be harmful in doing this? Can I get prego? My sIster is prescrIbed her pills this way cuz of PCOS to avoid cysts so I figured it's ok. Thx

You shouldn't go longer than 3 months without bleeding, it increases the chances of uterine cancer. So if you skip sugar pills for a few months, make sure to let a bleed occur at least every 3 months. You *might* find that doing this causes some spotting to start happening at irregular intervals, but that's a common side effect of the Pill anyway.

It doesn't affect the way the Pill works to prevent and disrupt pregnancy.
