I have been on Sprintec which is a generic for about 6 months and the entire time I've been on it my periods have been completely out of whack. It is a Sunday Start with one week of sugar pills. I will have bleeding speratically all month. I might bleed for 3 or 4 days lightly durning my second week of active pills then not bleed at all for a week and then start again a few days before my white pills and then stop and on day 3 of my white pills start again. There is no pattern to it. Every month is different and I never know when it is coming...Does this mean that this pill just isn't a match for me, or what?

I started taking this after I stopped BFing my daughter. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Should I assume the pill isn't working? I haven't gotten pregnant in the 6 months though and with my other children I got pregnant the first time we didn't use protection and the first time we started TTC.

Irregular bleeding and/or spotting is a common side effect of most formulations of the birth control pill. Everyone reacts to the synthetic hormones differently.

That happened to me with Sprintec also, I had to switch to different BCP that worked better for me (everyone's body react's differently to different hormones) call your dr and ask what he/she recommends.
