For anyone that has mirena, does the string soften up at all, because ive had it over a year and I have almost always felt it when i went to check for it and it has an undenial feeling. ALmost like it feels like a little metal thing when you touch it with your finger nail. Now I cant feel it at all. I thought I might have felt the tip of it and if it was which i am extremely hesistant on believing that it was my string, how much would you say it softens up and does it ussualy move its place? Because if it was the mirena string it moved alot alot higher and feels completely different (like it could blend in with my inside.)

Also i know this is a little tmi, my husband even checked for me (his fingers are huge compared to mine) and even he was hesitant on if it was it or not.

Augh Mirena. While I haven't had the specific problem you've talked about, my OBGYN cut my strings so short from the get-go that I can't even feel them. I can't tell if my IUD is in, ever.

So sorry this isn't helpful
