So I started my BC yesterday, Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I know it takes about a week or so for it to become effective to prevent pregnancy...but what about helping with your periods? As in cramping, light periods...so on and so forth. I was bleeding REALLY bad, this is my first period since I had my son. And it seems like since taking it yesterday I went from bleeding really bad, to almost completly stop bleeding. I am usually on my period for about 6 days (well before I had my son anyways) and today is my 3 day on my period, but with light light bleeding. Sooo anyone know if its the birthcontrol already??

It could be the birth control. As a general rule with bc, it takes up to 3 months for everything to get regulated (side effects, effects on your period, etc.) Some people are more sensitive than others though.

If I had to choose, I'd have to say that it is the bc effecting your period already. Then again, it might not be.

Just to let you know, my first period after Emma was pretty heavy for about 4 days, then it dissapeared for a few days and then came back with a vengence (for TWO WEEKS!) So...be prepared, just incase!
