I got my iud removed almost 3 weeks ago. The last six months or so I didn't really have periods, mostly just spotting here and there so I'm not sure when my period was supposed to come. the day after having it removed I started to bleed, it got pretty heavy with a few clots even. This lasted about two days and then got lighter and eventually stopped. DH and I are trying to concieve our third child. On monday we did the deed and the next day I was bleeding again, not heavy, just kind of spotting, but again I wiped and there was a clot. Sorry about the tmi. Anybody have any ideas what could be going on with this.

Maybe your cervix is just extra sensitive after having th IUD removed.

I tried looking for some info on the internet but I couldn't find anything. I have the links for IUD's posted in the sticky. Maybe they have some info for you.

If your concerned then call your dr.

I've never used the IUD, but I agree with Angiegirl. I would call the dr and ask if this is normal.

Hope everything is okay. Best of luck TTC!
