How many of you have a husband or significant other who is either a Firefighter or an EMT?

Are any of you a Firefighter or EMT yourself?

**Thank you Tasha_Mae for my BEAUTIFUL siggy!**

My husband is a Firefighter, has been for 10 years now.

I am a Firefighter and EMS responder, come this winter I will be taking classes to become an EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) and then move on to EMT.

We have 3 children.... and it's up in the air if there is another one on board or not.

My DH is a volunteer firefighter and a full-time EMT, along with owning his own business. I grew up with my dad being a volunteer firefighter and LOVED being at the fire station with him all the time, so it's so cool to see how my kids are growing up that same way.

My boyfriend and I are both volunteers for our local fire department. He has been in fire service for 29 years. I joined "his" department in January 2014. He is the Chief and has been for a few years. We met on the ambulance the same month I joined when I was doing a rig check with my Squad Captain.

I was in school to become an EMT-Basic but due to my testing anxiety and me not being able to take Ativan because I was newly pregnant I didn't test out. I plan to go back some point after the baby is born. Considering becoming Emergency Medical Technician-Critical Care, but we'll play it by ear.

Right now I am an exterior firefighter and I plan to do that as long as safe and possible.

ETA: He also works in a department under Homeland Security for NYS.
JAMIE: Mama to six! In love with a hero.
I love making a home for my man in uniform and my children
