All of a sudden, well the past few days, I just have felt completely UNMOTIVATED! I want to pig out. I haven't yet. I haven't been tracking my cal. intake as well as I was for the past couple week. I didn't even take my measurements this week.. I can see my tummy is a little more bloated than usual. Also, (TMI) I have been constipated for the past like 4-5 days so I am trying to increase my fiber.. stool softeners & laxatives aren't helping I have pretty much been constipated since june, when I started using, and it got worse when I got clean and put on the methadone.. I have only had two periods since April/May of 07. I was pregnant, bled after the baby in Jan, Bfed, got my 1st period in the end of may/begin of june, had another in mid july, haven't had one since.. I know that is from the drug use and methadone..

I just want my body back to normal, well better than before. My weight loss has been the only good point of this entire past year, and the birth of my son of course. I am so afraid of gaining it back. I thought I was really working hard. Yet, since I have been focused, and started working out, I have only lost 4 lbs. I thought the 1st two weeks after starting a new diet/exercise regimen is when people lost the most

Anyone have any positive words to help keep me on track?

I'm sorry hun! There are times when I feel no motivation what so ever to even try to eat healthy or exercise. Last Sunday I caught myself asking DH if he wanted to order pizza and I stopped dead in my tracks cause I couldn't believe I was just going to give up like that. Yes it sounds good but I don't need it! Sometimes I don't even know I'm getting off track until I do it. I'm sorry you are having problems with your body. Maybe you can get some vitamins to keep you regular in the bowel dept and to just make you feel better in general. You can do it! We all have faith in you! I know it seems impossible but it's just a little bump in the road. Pick it up for the rest of the day to make yourself feel better and continue to try your hardest. That's all you can really do sweetie!

Hugs! It all depends on the person and their program as to whether they lose weight fast or slow and what exactly is happening with the body. When you start a new program, some people will see increases on the scale because of muscle gain and others will not. Some people will see rapid weight loss because they have their correct food intake and others will still be too high or too low with calories and will not lose at all because of it. It takes playing with and a lot of determination. But you're already showing determination in getting clean, so I know you have the determination to get healthy as well. Hang in there, girl, and know that we're all here supporting you in doing this!

I wanted to comment on the fiber first. One of the reasons I decided to really concentrate on increasing my fiber was having chronic intermittent problems with constipation. I was sick of it. It took a few days, maybe a week of increasing my fiber and I can tell a huge difference. This is the best I have ever felt in regards to GI issues. I would start trying to get in the recommended 25 grams of fiber a day. You might want to increase gradually though. Some people have a hard time with a sudden increase. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water too.

You lost a lot of weight already (whether you lost it the right way or not) and I know for me I have had a really hard time breaking out of the 140s. I have been stuck in the 140s since May! Granted I did wind up gaining almost 15 lbs this summer and then losing it again, but still I have found it really hard to move past 145ish. I just kind of get stuck there. You may have to play around with things to get out of the plateau you are in. Sometimes taking a day or two off is what I need to regroup as well. You'll get there Nicole!

All i have to say is.. have you seen my journal??!!.. i'm coming to the end of my 2wk and all i have to show is those measely 4lbs i lost last week.. i'm still at 164. It's discouraging yes.. trust me.. I stepped on that scaled this morning and all i could say was ***!!! 164!! STILL!!

But.. forget about the stupid scale.. thats' what i did. I made the kids pancakes this morning (my favorite breakfast) and 164 came to mind again.. i was going to go for those buttermilk pancakes when I stopped myself. I didn't give up on myself.. cuz really.. thats' what you'll be doing if you say #### it... Believe you can do it.. eat healthy not just to get skinny, thin, whatever.. eat healthy and exercise because it will help you live a better life. We're here to support you.. so just keep logging those calories in and keep getting doing your workouts.

Even if the scale isn't budging.. your heart and lungs are thanking you

i've been there and done that. I think we all have and all will.

I have issues with constipation too, sometimes just for a day or two. Once in a while i have it pretty bad.

I find that fiber one yogart by Yoplait does WONDERS...eat that with a serving of almonds or other nuts high in fiber and/or eat some fiber one cereal or granola bars (which are killer yummy) or whatever tickles ur fancy. But definitely give the yogarts a try...sometimes i go within hours.
