Hey all! I have been on the TTC board for a while, but no luck. However, during this stressful year I have climbed from size 8 to size 24. I must admit that most of my weight gain is cause in part by many health factors such as PCOS, hypothyroidism, and narcolepsy.

This week my DH and I decided that we were going to do something about both of our weight gain (he has gained almost 30 pounds since we married in July) and joined the YMCA. I currently weight 227 pounds whereas last year at this time I weighted 156 (overweight then!), so I have a long way to go. My initial goal is 130.

We won't necessarily diet because we eat pretty healthly: a lot of greenery, fruits, ton of water.

Wish us luck!

Welcome!

I have questions regarding your health and weight loss. If you already eat healthy and you believe your weight gain is from your health issues, how is a gym going to help enough? Don't get me wrong, I think it's wonderful, but don't want to see you struggle if a health condition or medication is working against you. Do you understand what I mean? What does your doctor say about the weight gain? If some health reason has caused the weight gain, is there something your doctor can do to help reverse it?

Doc is trying to regulate meds in order to lessen the weight gain. My double problem is that my seizure meds interfers with my thyroid medications and pretty much makes it useless.

I may not have any success at the gym, but at least I am getting healthier.

I like your attitude!

(And please forgive me if I came across poorly at all... it's been a long day.)
