The USDA and Department of Health and Human Services defines a healthy, low fat, low cholesterol diet as having the following guidelines

Total Calories 2000-2500 per day
Total Fat < 30% total daily calories
Saturated Fat < 10% of total calories
Cholesterol < 300 milligrams per day

Yep. Kinda required for me to know those things though, from my nutrition certifications. LOL I really like the food guide pyramid the FDA does because it is so well rounded and gives a good indication of what each person should be eating.

I heard that The States has 2 extra food groups in thier food groups then we do?
