in 12 minutes. I could have finished sooner but i started off too slow. I did most of it at 5-6mph but started at 4-4.5 and I could haev started at 5mph. So i will retry it. I know it's a good time, especially since this was my first nonstop shot at running the mile. My goal is to do 10 minutes and then get down to a 6 minute mile...well maybe 8 lol

Running for me, I HATED running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started off just walking and then sometimes i would just wanna go faster so i'd just jog and after doing this i'd then go longer and longer. Sometimes i'd get lost in my MP3 that i realized wow i just ran 3 minutes...Then one time i went almost 8...I would quit cause i just was 'tired' of running although I knew i could do it. So since the other day i did 3 laps without stopping at a good speed i decided today i would go for the gusto.

I'll add that although I was fit and athletic in high school and could run a little faster than average, I still hated running lol. I would do my best then because I am a competitor and I have to be one of the best if not the best lol

My tip (idk if others tried someting different)

I started trying to run longer by going at a speed that i could walk and jog...for instance i can walk AND jog at 3.5-4.0 mph comfortably, so i started off jogging at 3.5-4.0 mph just to get my body used to the jogging because of course u do more jogging than walking even if at the same speed (well at least for me). Then i would get a little bored so my body would want to go faster, so i'd up the speed next session. Then i'd also challenge myself and i'd jog 3.5-4 and then sprint 5.0, then i slowly started increasing the speed and the length of time i'd sprint.

Just go with what your body wants, but push yourself a little further each time. Defintely try jogging your 'walking' zone speed.

That is awesome!

I am thinking I should try a little walk/jog tomorrow. I don't want to, I HATE running...lol When I am into it and doing it regularly I am good at it, but I don't enjoy it at all. But, I have to pretend that I have 42 days from today to run 1.5 miles in 15 minutes or less, so I better get my butt in gear.

I doubt I will enjoy running. I used to be able to run far enough to do a 10K. I ran a few times a week, I never did enjoy a love for it. I do it out of obligation.
