Something I read recently (can't remember where) is that a "cheat meal" sets your weightloss progress back by three days. But I've also read that cheat meals or even cheat days help many people stay on track with their diet. What do you think? Do you plan to cheat?

I wouldn't ever do an entire day, but I definitely do a meal here and there, but I still try to incorporate something healthy if I can. Like, if we go out to a restaurant, I will order what I want main course wise, but get a salad and veggies instead of fries or something along those lines.

There are times that you can't do that, but I try. I don't see the problem with a cheap meal, as long as you stay on track prior to it, and get back on track after it. I think the problem comes when the cheal "meal" turns into days of cheating.

As long as you are not gorging yourself on a bunch of terrible things all day I think it's okay. Also, as long as it doesn't turn into a cheat week or weekend. Not too many cheats of course just occasional. You have to try to be a little aware of what your eating even though you are "cheating". If we go out to dinner here and there I'll get a cheeseburger or something once in a while.

I will usually cheat once a week. I'll have either a cheat meal or a cheat dessert. It is usually a cheat dessert. I don't think it sets you back. I have found that the morning after a cheat I either weigh exactly the same or I am just a bit smaller. I think it helps your body from hitting a plateau, but only if you do it every once in awhile and not all the time.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy
