All of my pregnancies have been semi high-risk. I had two miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy before I had my first and when I got pregnant with him I bled for the first 12 weeks so I was on bed rest. I was on bed rest at several points with my daughter. She was 4 weeks early. My next son was premature, 7 weeks early. Then after him I was just paranoid really and didn't feel comfortable doing any type of exercise because it usually brings on contractions for me. I did watch my diet pretty closely with Shawn but I was just too nervous to do any type of exercise.

I was teaching dance classes 4 hours a day 5 days a week when I was pregnant with Kendra. My second pregnancy I was also teaching dance classes but ended in a miscarriage. I don't think I would have been capable of teaching dance or exercising when I was pregnant with Josh. I was in so much pain when I was pregnant with him. He just sat so much lower and it put a lot of pressure on my lower back (and I have a very slight case of scoliosis in my lumbar spine). I also got terrible sciatic nerve pain with him, sometimes to the point I could barely walk. So both yes and no for me.

I exercised the entire 40 weeks with my first son as I didn't have any complications at all with his pregnancy. With my second pregnancy I got a really bad stomach bug when I was 33 weeks pregnant which put me into labor and I dialated 3 cm. thankfully labor stopped but my dr put me on bed rest until I was 39 weeks so i only exercised the first 33 weeks with my second pregnancy.

When we get pregnant again I do plan on exercising the entire pregnancy assuming I have no complications.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

I did not start exercising until after Mary (5yo) was born. I did continue exercising through my pregnancy with Lucy and with the baby we lost. I was a little nervous continuing to exercise with this one, because of the loss, but had my doctor's ok and I did keep it all low impact for most of the first tri. After we had a couple good u/s and heart tones, I was more confident.
