Do you ever think about workouts you used to do and compare them to workouts you do now?

Do you find the comparison helpful, or discouraging?

I definitely think about all my ballet workouts that I did throughout school/college. I don't really compare them to my workouts now though. I am using a ballet based kit (The Ballet Physique) as inspiration to reach my goal this month. It sounds like a really good set and so far the reviews all sound promising. I'm using it as my reward for this month. I'd really like to start doing more ballet type workouts and this would add to that collection.

I never used to work out, so everything is still pretty new to me.

I compare some things (especially my stretching) to the 14 years that I danced. But the workouts that I'm doing now aren't really much like my dance workouts, so it's hard to compare.

I have thought about this before. I think the reason I didn't get results in the past was because I wasn't doing enough or working hard enough. My workouts are a lot longer now and I really push myself now and I didn't before. I think sometimes you think you're pushing yourself until you REALLY push yourself one day and realize how much more you can do.

Yes. Two years ago I was so much more fit than I am now! It is a little discouraging but I think that eventually I can ramp it up to that level again. Especially once the baby sleeps through the night I think that I will have more energy.
