In my mind I think that eating sweets now and then is okay, but when I actually eat sweets I almost always feel guilty. I had ice cream this weekend and I didn't pig out or anything and I didn't even gain weight from it, but I have food issues and can't eat stuff like ice cream without feeling guilty. I usually just don't eat things like this because I can't enjoy them anyway, but I did this weekend and then I just felt guilty all weekend. I see other people eat ice cream and stuff without the guilt, but I don't know if I will ever be able to just eat it and enjoy it.

If I do as a snack then yes I feel guilty but when I do it at like special occasions I am ok with it. Like yesterday was my daughters graduation party and I had some cake I didn't feel bad about it.

I try to make my treats low carb so they still fit into my diet, those I don't feel bad about having occasionally. Real sweets I would probably feel guilty about unless it was a special occasion.

Thanks to Bokkechick for my siggy.

No, eating sweets does not make me feel guilty. On the occasions that I've binged on treats, that makes me feel guilty. But it is the binging, not the sweets themselves, that I feel guilty about.

No. Now, if I ate a whole big bag of candy, or a half gallon of ice cream, I would. But I allow myself sweets on a regular basis without guilt. One thing that helps me is to buy in single serving sizes...like the single serving ice cream cups. Then if I have calories to spare, I eat one. I' feel better about it because I am not completely losing control, and the portion is defined.

Now and then, no, not at all. However, if I pig out on junk, I do feel very guilty.
