I finally broke through! It's taken me over 2 months to get out of the 180s. Mostly that was just sitting around the same weights for weeks at a time. I did take a break in the middle and as soon as I started low carbing again I dropped some water but then just sat again. I was getting really fed up so I started going over everything to see if I could find a reason for it that I could fix or if I was just going to have to keep waiting it out. I realized that thanks to my increased walking over the last 2 months and strictness with calories, my net calories most days was pretty low, below 1000. It was really hard to make myself be ok with eating more, like 1800-1900 total calories a day or more, but decided to give that a try for a few days.
After 5 days of increased calorie intake I am down 3.7lbs! It might be a coincidence, I'm going to keep going and keep an eye on it but to take 2 months of struggling to lose 10lbs and then to start losing again as soon as I start eating more seems like more than coincidence.
I might make my goals by goal date after all.

That's great! I do find I stall out if I eat too little. My metabolism gets all sluggish. Anyway...good for you!

Yeah there were some days I wasn't eating any exercise calories back after walking 7-8 miles. So I was netting 600-800. I'm pretty sure my body was like "we're starving. we better hold onto EVERYTHING"
I really wish I hadn't ruined my ability to distinguish hunger sometimes. I wanted to snack more a lot of those days but was trying to keep my calories where I thought they should be (kind of forgetting about exercise calories) and just figured I was wanting to snack for the sake of mindless snacking, not because I was really hungry. My recognizing hunger has gotten better since I started getting healthy but I'm still not good at it sometimes.

Yeyyyyy! Congrats!

It does sound like your body went into ''hold on to everything'' mode. I tend to do the same thing when I do lots of weight training as I forget how much more calories that burns. Way to taking the time to find out what was keeping you in your plateau.
