Do you do your rest days on a specific day

or just when you get tired?

I usually plan my rest day. I do my strength training divided into muscle groups chest/shoulders/triceps, then legs, then back/biceps (and abs every other day). So I try to be through all the muscle groups before I take a rest day. So I try to do it after I do back/biceps but sometimes I need a rest sooner. I try to do six workouts and a rest but some weeks it's three and a rest. It just kind of depends. I also try to plan my rest day on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday so I can enjoy my weekend.

usually on Sundays....just because I like that rest before the rest of the week

Always on Saturdays and Sundays. I have to clean and take care of my boys on the weekends so that is plenty of workout for me on those 2 days.

Right now it's just whenever. Usually my rest days are when I have other stuff/errands I need to do that day.

Once DH gets home, saturday or sunday or both will be rest days.

Usually just whichever day I know will be busiest that week, so they're planned, but not planned to be the same day every week.

I plan for Saturday to be a rest day most weeks. It works for me because I can usually sleep late. Also my long runs are Sunday, so I like to rest the day before.

If I'm having a rough week or have to add in another rest day, that decision is usually more "spontaneous".

Most of the time, the weekends are extra packed so Sunday, is a rest day for my hubby and I. (Especially during football season!) If I don't have time another day, or really don't have the energy, I will make that my rest day and make sure to workout the rest of the week.

I do not have set work out or rest days, since I have days where I am unable to do anything and days I can, so planning does not work for me yet.

The program I am doing has them on Saturday/Sunday but I normally only take one on Sunday because that is the day I grocery shop, meal prep, etc.

My rest days are just kind of whenever right now. Usually it is more because I get busy and can't work out on a given day more than being tired.

It used to be whenever, now its every day lol. But usually it would be after a particularly hard day
