Good morning ladies! I'm Amanda and new to the board! Long time lurker! As I was sitting here eating my protein bar for breakfast (oh no! Is that a dirty word in here!?!) I couldn't help but wonder if there's a better tasting bar out there! I'm eating a Kellogg's Special K Protein Bar (meal bar) that has

10g of protein
190 calories
5g fat

I usually eat one for breakfast since I'm a working mommy and I have to be at work at 7am. The protein bar usually holds me over until lunch at ~ 11am. My question is... 1) do you eat protein bars? 2) which one would you recommend?

Thank you so much ladies!

Welcome! I don't usually eat protein bars because I haven't found one yet that I like the taste of and still seems to be healthy. You'd be suprised at how much sugar is in some of those things; you'd think you were eating a candy bar. Of course, the high sugar ones are the ones that taste good. LOL I typically try to stick to real food instead of anything processed or prepackaged, but sometimes it is really hard to get enough protein in when you do that. When I'm having a rushed day and can't get my protein up, I'll have a protein shake. I prefer the EAS AdvantEdge line because they have some protein without being so much per serving that it upsets my stomach. Plus it tastes pretty good. I love the ready to drink chocolate fudge shakes! I haven't tried any of their bars though, because I just normally don't like protein bars so I just go with what I know I'll like. If you try one that is good, though, let me know.

Welcome! I like South Beach breakfast bars and Harvest One (or something similar). I am not sure all the info about them though.

I don't eat them all that often, but I like the South Beach Diet ones the best. Some of them are really good.
